5 of my favorite words are "down for a photography adventure?" and they just so happened to be the words my friend Amber messaged me recently. Of course, my answer was along the lines of "HECK YES!"
I can count on one hand the number of friends that I've made that I consider to be my kindred spirits. Most of my friends are the kind that compliment me well; the yins to my yang. It's rare that you run across someone that is nearly a replica of your own soul and when you do those friends hold a special place in your heart. They're the ones that you can turn to at just about any time in your life and they can say "you too? I thought I was the only one!" It's a refreshing and restorative friendship. Very quickly into my friendship with Amber I realized that she was going to be one of those people for me.
A fellow photographer, writer, and small business owner, Amber radiates compassion to everyone she meets. All that you need to do is barely get a glimpse and this girl's heart and you want to be her friend. You can tell that she was put on this earth to love mightily on others and she does it oh so well. Capturing a few pictures of her was one of the most fun adventures I've had recently. I mean, just look at her laugh (basically that's all of the pictures because we're a couple of goobers who the whole time were going "What do we do? What do all the cool kids on Instagram do these days?" "Uhhh... Look over there and um, pretend like you're contemplating the meaning of life or something..."). Without further ado, Amber.
